Other clips I looked into would only position your microphones at a 45 degree angle. All the designs I found online had great structural rigidity, but either the holders were too loose (microphones would sag) or the angle wasn’t correct.

I sought out to try and do it myself

If you know me personally, you’ll know that I very recently got into 3D printing, and went as far as to 3D print a full blown Mandalorian helmet as my first project. To go with that, I had to force myself to learn how to 3D model, since I wanted to make the blaster as well, and couldn’t find a model I like. This project was a labor of love, thrown together in a mix of Tinkercad and Windows 3D Builder. I went through tons of prototyping before landing on this design and so far, it’s been a pretty good one!

What’s so great about yours?

That’s the thing, I don’t know. I haven’t used the other offerings on the market, including the original one. What I know is that Fredrik Nordstrom said that the ones on the market (aside from the official Fredman clip) are not 100% accurate to the angle, and that’s why I made this one. It was initially made for me to address issues I had with the designs I was looking into, but I wanted to share it with the world.

Shipping & Info

These are 3D printed clips, made on demand. Colors are random, depending on what color filament I have spooled into the printer at any given time. For custom color options, I’ve added the ability for you to pick what color you like, for a small up charge. It takes approximately 3.5 hours to print a single clip. I try to get these made and shipped out ASAP, but shipping time very much depends on the order backlog. I ship free to the continental US and Hawaii/Alaska, and charge a flat rate internationally.
